How to add a 360° product view to Shopify
A 360° view lets shoppers drag to turn a product and see it from every side. Shopify themes don't have one built in, but you can add one in a few minutes with ZS Spin View — on any theme, without code. Here are the three ways to make the spin, from the most work to the least.
Drag the sneaker. This is the same viewer your product page gets.
Before you start: turn on the app
- Install ZS Spin View from the Shopify App Store (free plan available).
- In the app, press Enable now. The theme editor opens on App embeds with ZS Spin View switched on — press Save.
- Back in the app, press Add block to put the ZS 360 Spin Viewer block on your product page template, then Save.
That is all the theme work. Every spin you make from now on appears on its product page by itself.
Way 1: from a set of photos (free)
Best quality, if you already have photos taken around the product — or can take them.
- Put the product on a table and take 24–72 photos while turning it a little each time (a cheap turntable helps; keep the camera still).
- In the app open Real 360 Spin, choose the product and upload the photos in order (JPG, PNG or WEBP).
- Press Generate & Link Spin. The spin is saved to the product and shows on its page.
Way 2: from a phone video (free)
No photo set? Film one slow turn of the product with your phone.
- Real 360 Spin → Video.
- Upload an MP4 or MOV under 90 seconds and choose how many frames (24–72).
- Press Generate & Link Spin. The app takes evenly spaced frames from the video and builds the spin.

Way 3: from one product photo with AI
No photos and no time? AI Spin takes the product's existing photo, builds a 3D model of it and renders a 36-frame spin. It works best on objects with a clear shape: bottles, shoes, bags, gadgets, decor.
- AI Spin → pick the product.
- Press Generate and wait a few minutes.
- Check the result and link it to the product.
AI spins are on the Starter plan ($7.99/month, 5 AI spins a month) and up. You can also add the 3D model itself to the product for AR — see 3D models and AR on Shopify.
Make it sell
- Zoom is on by default, so shoppers can look at stitching or labels.
- Add hotspots to point at features, and a spin per colour variant that switches when the shopper picks a colour.
- Choose where the spin sits: under the gallery, at the top of it, or as the first slide.
- Export any spin as a Reel, MP4 or GIF for ads and email.
See all of these live on the 19 use cases page.
Questions
- Does a 360° view work on every Shopify theme?
- Yes. The viewer is a theme app block, so it works on Online Store 2.0 themes such as Dawn. On older themes you can paste the viewer with the app's Copy Code option.
- Will it slow my product page down?
- The viewer loads its frames lazily, only when it comes into view, so the rest of the page loads first.
- How many photos do I need for a smooth spin?
- 24 photos look fine, 36 is smooth, 72 is very smooth. With a video, choose the frame count in the app.
- Is there a free plan?
- Yes. The free plan includes the 360° viewer, spins from photos or a video (3 spin projects) and Reel / GIF export. AI spins start on the Starter plan.
Free plan, no credit card. Your first spin can be live in a few minutes.
